My holiday story: On Saturday, I went to the temple to make merit. My mind was at peace, and I also taught Thai culture to the children.
Hello, my lovely friends!
It's Saturday morning and the weather is lovely again. It's been raining almost every day lately, mostly in the evenings and stopping in the early morning, so the weather is nice and cool. It's Saturday, a day off, so I woke up a little late, around 7:00 AM. I did the laundry, swept and mopped the house, and had a light breakfast. After discussing with my husband yesterday what we should eat for breakfast, I had an idea to go out and visit a Thai temple...
By the time we finished showering and getting dressed, it was almost noon. We drove onto the highway leading into KL city; traffic was quite heavy today, even though it was a Saturday holiday. We arrived at the temple, and as usual, there were many people visiting to worship. We drove in to find a parking spot; even though the sky was overcast, it was hot and humid during the day. Many parts of the temple are currently being renovated to provide more space for Buddhists who come to pay their respects. After parking, we walked up the stairs to the main temple building.
Upon entering the main temple, we paid our respects to the large, majestic Buddha image prominently displayed inside. My youngest daughter was very respectful when bowing to the Buddha, something I had taught her before, and she remembered it. Every time we go to the temple, she is remarkably composed, befitting her young age. After we finished paying our respects to the Buddha, we went to pay our respects to the monks and receive holy water for blessings, according to Buddhist belief.
After paying our respects to the main Buddha statue inside the ordination hall, we walked down to the lower level where there were many other points of interest. The temple sign at the front had also been renovated. This Thai temple is beautiful and looks very much like a typical Thai temple in Thailand; there's no difference at all. However, I have one minor complaint: some Buddhist visitors tend to dress inappropriately, such as wearing shorts and sleeveless tops, which seems disrespectful to the place. In Bangkok, for example, Thai temples usually provide traditional skirts for visitors to change into, to show respect and elegance for this sacred site.
The beauty and artistry of the temple's construction are incredibly exquisite. Even the intricately carved dragon houses, the statue of Guanyin, and many other things within the temple are truly impressive and admirable. Okay, now that we've finished our tasks for the day and everyone is feeling relaxed, it's time to take the kids home. Before heading back, we'll probably grab something to eat and do a little shopping. Since we're already out of the house, let's make the most of our day off and reward the kids for their hard work in school this past week. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to read my article. I hope you enjoyed it today...Bye-bye!

🎉 Congratulations, @paopaoza!
