My story 23/5/2026 : On a fun Saturday, we took the kids to a night market in a different district.
Hello, my lovely friends! Another week has flown by, and the weekend is almost over – time flies! It's Saturday already, the kids don't have school, and it's a two-week school break too! Wow, what a perfect day! Today, I have something unexpected happening, haha! My kind husband wanted to take me to the evening market, so this morning's activities started at 7:30 a.m. – a nice, relaxed time to wake up. But at 7:30, the kids were already awake because they wanted to go to the morning market!
At 7:30 a.m., we woke up and took the kids to the morning market. I wanted to buy vegetables and pork for cooking, but the kids wanted to come along because they wanted to buy snacks, especially candy, which they love and beg me to take them on every weekend. After buying the vegetables, we bought food. Today we opted for something simple: noodles and steamed meatballs with dipping sauce, called "Chi Chong Fan." After eating, I finished the housework upstairs and downstairs, around almost 2 p.m. My husband suggested we go to a night market in another district, which would take about an hour to drive to... But before we left around 3 p.m., we made some papaya salad with omelet and boiled rice noodles, which was delicious.
At 5:00 PM, we all showered and got dressed to go to the night market. Yay! The kids were so happy; it had been a long time since we'd been there. It's over an hour's drive away. As we drove, it started to drizzle, and in some areas, it was raining heavily. By the time we arrived at the night market, I thought it would be raining heavily, but it was just a light drizzle. I have to admit, there were a lot of vendors today, as usual. It was a large market with three rows of stalls selling food, household goods, and even fruits and vegetables.
After walking for a while, the rain stopped, and now many people were out buying food. Everything looked delicious, especially durian, which the vendors were loudly calling out to customers, making the market seem quite lively. There was also a wide variety of cooked food available, with tables to sit and eat. This market was incredibly diverse, with a dazzling array of food and goods for sale. I even saw some new dishes I'd never seen before. Today, we bought a whole lot of food. My youngest daughter wanted to try fruit yogurt, which is yogurt with fresh fruit like watermelon, grapes, kiwi, and mango – whatever the vendor had available. The fruit was sliced and added to the yogurt, and the price was reasonable.
Before heading home, I didn't forget to stop by and buy some stir-fried noodles, and we ate them there. The bags full of groceries were gradually eaten by my family and me until almost everything was gone. In the end, we didn't buy any more food to take home because we ate it all at the noodle shop. Today was quite fun and very filling. The kids wanted many things, mostly toys, which were sometimes too expensive, so I wouldn't let them buy them because they were unnecessary. I mostly let them buy food. This Saturday was a fun Saturday for the kids, and I was quite relaxed too. That's the end of our story. I drove home, arriving almost at 9 PM. It was still raining lightly. I passed by a neighbor's house where they were having a birthday party; I didn't get to sleep until after midnight, and I could still hear them saying "Happy Birthday!" Saturday was full of activities and things to experience.
Thank you, friends, for reading my article today. I hope everyone had their own kind of happiness. See you again in the next article. Bye everyone!
