My story : No matter how far it is, I still want to go to the night market...
Hello, my lovely friends!
Today I have another story to share with you. It's a story I think is quite interesting, but it's still about my daily life. It all started this evening... My husband suggested we go to a night market a bit further out, which I remembered visiting once several years ago. Back then, I'd accompany him to work during the day, and in the evenings we'd stop by this night market, which had tons of food. So today we wanted to go again, and I have something great to share with you all!
School was on break, so we left home at 5 PM. We really wanted to go at 4 PM, but I hesitated a bit, wondering whether to go or not, but in the end, we went anyway. Finding parking at the night market was incredibly difficult because it's actually in the middle of the city and in a densely populated area. We drove around for quite a while looking for a parking spot. Finally, we found a great spot close to the night market. After parking, we walked into the night market. Wow, there was so much food! The first stall we saw had huge, delicious-looking fried squid. My daughter immediately got hungry. So, we started with a big, fried hot dog!
We kept walking, and the deeper we went, the more crowded it became, to the point where we sometimes couldn't breathe. We kept walking until we were sweating profusely. There were so many food stalls tempting us, but we weren't in the mood to buy anything to eat. There was even a Thai food stall; I saw grilled fish with salt and vegetables that looked delicious, but I still wasn't in the mood to buy it. But we kept going deeper, hoping to find a less crowded spot where we could buy something tasty. The kids each had a hot dog, and no one complained about being hungry anymore, so we kept walking.
After walking less than halfway, I started to get tired and hot and didn't want to go on, so I suggested to my husband that we go find something to eat outside. Actually, I'm quite adventurous, whether it's traveling or eating, but because I have the kids with me, I prioritize their safety more. It was a real shame because the further we went, the more food there was, but we only made it halfway. I wanted to see how much further I had to go to the end of the market, so I took out my phone to take a picture. Wow, there wasn't even any room to walk past! I figured if we kept walking like this for several more hours, we'd never reach the end of the market, so I took the kids to a side street where there was a fried noodle stall.
My excitement for coming to this night market vanished in an instant, haha. Now I'm starting to feel dizzy, haha. What to do? I ordered noodles, got a queue number, and looked for a seat, which at first was almost impossible. We found two chairs, let the kids sit first, and soon after everyone else finished eating, we got a table right away. I secretly wondered if the shops could sell well with so many people, because people were walking back and forth, and most of them weren't buying anything. It was so crowded. After I sat down to wait for my fried noodles, my husband went to buy drinks, which he did much faster than all four of us could do at once. After we finished eating our fried noodles, we didn't buy anything else, which was a real shame because of all the excitement I had about coming to this night market. We went to a shop selling imported goods, the kids got some snacks there, and then we went home, even though the kids hadn't eaten much yet.
Worried that the kids would be hungry at night, my husband suggested we go to McDonald's on our way home. The kids were very excited and happy; they usually love McDonald's. So, ending our night out at the night market today by going to McDonald's was a complete disappointment. I think I probably won't go to this night market again, which is a real shame. It made me miss the Saturday walking street in Chiang Mai; it's bustling with people, but they manage to keep the walkways open and easy for customers to pass through. If this place could do that, I think many more people would flock to this night market. That's all for my story today. Thank you for reading. See you in the next article, bye!
