7/5/2026 : My story with an illness that has not yet healed and I have a duty to perform.
Hello, my lovely friends.
At 6:00 AM, I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock, although sometimes I even wake up before it goes off. This might be due to habit, or perhaps as I get older, I sleep less but feel sleepy during the day instead, haha. After making my bed, I smile at myself in the mirror and think positive thoughts. Then I wake the kids up to get ready for school. I go down to prepare breakfast and then come back up to help them get dressed before taking them to school at 7:00 AM. This is a routine I do every Monday to Friday.
Around 7:00 AM, after dropping the kids off at school, it was time to drive to the morning market. We drove across a small bridge leading to the sea; the morning atmosphere was truly beautiful. I wanted to stop and take some photos to share, but the traffic made it impossible. I could only admire the scenery from afar. Today's market had a wide variety of fresh vegetables for sale, many interesting kinds. There were also stalls selling ready-to-eat food, including vegetarian options. In addition, there were household goods for sale. I strolled around, but couldn't find anything I really liked to buy, so I decided to drive back home. I figured it was just a relaxing drive to enjoy the scenery, haha!
Earlier, I hadn't been feeling well, having a fever for two days. Even after recovering, I still had a stuffy nose and phlegm. After driving home, I felt very weak, so I hurriedly did some small tasks to finish. Then I went upstairs to rest for a nap. I slept until 1 PM. I could faintly hear the small voices of my youngest daughter, whom my husband had just picked up from school. But I couldn't open my eyes, so I responded to her while still lying there with my eyes closed. I really didn't feel well today. My husband saw that I couldn't cook for the children in the afternoon, so he drove to pick us up to eat instead. I forced myself to get up to eat some steamed buns and take my medicine, but then I slept for a while longer.
While I was lying in bed, my youngest daughter kept circling around me until 3:00 PM. My husband picked our eldest daughter up from school again, and this time he made me some chrysanthemum tea to drink to help cool me down and reduce my fever. When our eldest daughter got home, she put down her bag, changed her clothes, had a light snack, and then came closer to me. She eventually fell asleep on the sofa, exhausted from being up early and having so many activities at school that day. Actually, my youngest daughter didn't want to sleep either, but eventually she fell asleep once everything quieted down. It was 4:50 PM when everything was quiet.
By 4:50 PM, I was starting to feel more energetic and it was time to cook. So I went into the kitchen and started cooking rice and gathering vegetables from the refrigerator. Today I'm making three simple dishes, and I didn't forget to make steamed fish with soy sauce for my father-in-law as well. After finishing cooking, I went upstairs to take a shower and rest for another nap. I can say that I'm quite tired today, but it's good to have my husband and children nearby to take care of me. This is my small happiness and activities for today. Thank you everyone for reading this article. See you again in the next article. Bye bye!
