These delicious pancake cream corn and crunchy peanut are so good, one piece is never enough.
Hello, my lovely friends! Here I am again! Today I'm going to take you to try a dessert that's very similar to a Thai sweet: Khanom Bueang. It's a crispy pancake filled with coconut, peanuts, and sprinkled with sugar for a sweet and savory treat. The fact that it's fried in a flat pan gives it an amazing aroma, making it so delicious you won't want to stop eating it! Let's see what it's like. At first, I didn't think I'd write about this, but after enjoying the meal, I thought it would be good to share with you all, in case any of you want to try it! Haha, I'm practically tempting you all with this now!
The mixed batter is poured thinly onto a round pan, spread evenly, then buttered and topped with crushed corn and peanuts, and sugar. The result is an incredibly delicious treat! Look at how thin the pancakes are; when freshly made, they're super crispy. One bite gives you the sensation of roasted peanuts, crushed corn, and a touch of sugar – a subtle sweetness and a wonderfully smooth texture in your mouth. However, if left for a while, the pancakes become slightly chewy, but they're still just as delicious. No matter where I go in Malaysia, if I see this snack, I always stop by and buy it!
I'm giving you a sneak peek inside to show you how packed it is with corn, peanuts, and other toppings. And the price isn't too expensive either – they come in small and large sizes, with a thick, soft batter similar to Thai "Tang Taek" (a type of Thai pancake). The only difference is the toppings; Thai "Tang Taek" usually has young coconut, sesame seeds, and sugar, or other Thai sweets like "Foy Thong" (golden threads).
I bought 5 pieces for 5 ringgit. I only ate one piece and it was gone before my daughter and husband finished it all! Haha. It's okay though, I'll buy more whenever I pass by. I could eat it every day without getting bored. It's hard to find delicious snacks here, but once I found this one, I wouldn't change my mind. Whether it's the morning market or the evening market, if I see it, I have to buy it immediately. Many Thai and Malaysian snacks are similar, differing only in toppings. When you're in a foreign country, you adapt to your surroundings. So, delicious food isn't that hard to find for me anymore, haha. Today I only have one short story to tell. Thank you for reading. Next time I cook, I'll review my food and show you what it looks like and whether it's delicious. Okay, I have to go now. Thank you for reading. Bye everyone! Oh, I almost forgot, Happy Songkran! It's a very fun Thai festival right now.

🎉 Congratulations, @paopaoza!

It's beautiful learning about the culture in Malaysia. Left for me alone, I would have concluded that it was a meatpie or a certain flour bread we eat as snack in my country. Lovely to learn about this snack.
