Pohela Boishakh: A Day Through My Lens

in Steem Open Circle ⭕last month

How are you all? I hope everyone is well. First of all, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Bengali New Year. Happy New Year. The Bengali year has changed a lot. In fact, the Bengali year began long ago. Especially starting from the agricultural sector. In rural Bengal, the Bengali month is still practiced. The farmers in the villages still cultivate paddy and keep track of the Bengali month. This is a tradition of many years in this country! It is expected that this tradition will live on for generations.

However, if you think about the city, you will see that most of the people in the city know only the twelve names of the Bengali months. However, they jump to celebrate Pohela Boishakh. They do not even know the exact history of the Bengali month. Again, they consider those who know to be unsmart! However, the beginning of Boishakh has always been great. The summer season begins with the month of Boishakh. There will be a lot of sunshine. People will be happy in the heat.

If only there were a different feeling in childhood on Pohela Boishakh. When it comes to Pahela Baishakh, the first thought that comes to mind is that we have to go to the fair and get up in the Nagardola. We will all have so much fun together. We used to think so much back then. And now that feeling is gone! Tastes have also changed with age! My mother used to wake me up early on Pahela Baishakh when I was a child! Because I have to sit down to study. If I could study on Pahela Baishakh, I would study all year round, and I would also cook patshakah and a few other vegetables.

Today is Pahela Baishakh, but I don't feel like doing anything. However, I saw quite a stir on social media. Everyone has gone out for a walk. But I have no desire to go out. Because the exams are going on. So this afternoon I shared some photographs. Our Duet campus can be seen from the house where I live. Several types of trees have been planted on the roof of the house. Especially tomatoes, peppers, brinjals, lemons, and guava trees.

I saw tomatoes on some trees and raw peppers on some trees. In fact, agricultural produce is cultivated on the rooftops of the city. I also saw a few mango trees. However, no mangoes have been picked from the mango trees yet. It felt like I had been on the rooftop after a long time. I went there mainly to share some photographs.
