Hello Teaching Team

For this engagement, I had to create an artwork using the "cut and paste" method. Here are the materials I used:

Plastic container
Brush
Paints (Red, Yellow, Black)
Green sheet

Step 1

First, I started painting the plastic container red. Once it was thoroughly painted and completely covered in red, I set it aside to dry for a while.

Step 2

Next, I painted a yellow band, about half an inch wide, around the top rim of the container.
After that, I outlined the very top edge of the container with black paint and set it aside to dry.

This ensured the paint set properly so it wouldn't smudge onto my hands during the cutting and pasting process.

Step 3

While the container was drying, I started cutting small leaf shapes out of the green sheet.

Step 4

Once the paint was completely dry, I used a matchstick to add yellow dots around the top of the container. I didn't want to overdo the pasting or clutter the design;

I prefer subtle patterns because sometimes, too much detail can detract from the beauty rather than enhance it.

Step 5

Finally, I moved on to the pasting stage. I attached the green leaf cutouts to the container. Once they were all securely in place, the project was complete, and it looked quite beautiful.

I was delighted with the result; I filled it with some essentials and took a photo with my username.

And just like that, my design was ready.

Is it your first experience to painting on pot ?

No, this wasn't my first time painting a container. I have participated in similar painting challenges before. Creating art by cutting out and pasting designs onto a flowerpot was a somewhat new experience for me. I really enjoyed doing it. Challenges like this always offer an opportunity to learn something new. The best part is that it doesn't require a lot of materials; we can participate using things we already have at home.

Hello Teaching Team

Absolutely, playing with colors is a wonderful feeling—they bring a sense of peace to both the mind and the eyes. Filling in colors and transforming something into a thing of beauty is a true art form—one that isn't necessarily within everyone's grasp. I do try my hand at creating color combinations. While I may not be an expert artist, it brings me great joy when something turns out well; I simply love coloring.
