THE DAIRY GAME :[22JULY 2026] How i crocheted a pretty scrunchy and how my day went.

Welcome to my episode of the dairy game.
Today I'll be walking you through how i crocheted this hair scrunchy or hair ribbon and how my day went.
Crochet is one of the few things i love to do, i have so much passion in it and i derive joy in crafting out something from mere strands of yarn.
Though it may be a tiring process but what usually keeps me going is the picture of the end result i always have in my head whenever i am making any piece. So far have crocheted many items including shorts, singlets, vest, hats etc. Most of them came out as i imagined.
As time goes on i will be posting my works or projects.
Today I'll walk you through my day and crafted this beautiful piece.
I am a student of Language Arts in university of Ahmadu Bello zaria.
After taking my bathe i quickly dressed up and went to school because the lecturer taking us today does not like late coming. After i was done i packed my books and crochet items into my bag. The crochet items were:
- Tape
- Crochet hook
- My yarn
- An elastic hair ribbon
I headed out and called my course mate who stays on same block as i. We got to the class by 6:50.
We were early and the lecturer had not yet come, so i decided to start crocheting before she comes.
The stitch i was using was double crochet, so i got my ribbon out made a slip stitch and made single crochet round the ribbon, i made sure they were plenty because that will determine the ruffles.
I was done with first row when our lecturer arrived, i put my stuff aside abd concentrated on the lectures.
The class ended by 9 am. I wasn't having any other lectures so i headed back to my hostel. I made breakfast of bread tea and egg and ate.
After eating i continued with my crocheting, i was at the second row and the second row consists of 3 double crochet in each stitch till the end of it, same with the third row.
I finished off and proceeded to take pictures of it. Later in the day i advertised my product and got a buyer. She styled it and It was really beautiful.
