The Diary Game: (29/07/2026) A Quiet Morning Walk That Turned Into a Lesson of Strength
Good day, amazing Steemians! @dansabeadah I hope everyone is doing well. Today turned out to be one of those days that reminded me how unpredictable life can be. What began as a peaceful morning exercise ended with a little worry, but thankfully it also ended with gratitude.
My day started shortly after offering my Fajr prayer. As usual, I spent some time reciting portions of the glorious Qur'an that I have memorised. Those quiet moments before sunrise always give me a sense of peace and prepare my mind for the rest of the day.
Not long afterwards, my mother and I decided to go for our regular morning walk. We wanted to stay active, burn some fat, and improve our overall fitness. Since it was still very early, the streets were almost empty. The calm atmosphere made the walk feel refreshing, and the cool morning air was pleasant.
As we continued along the road, something caught my attention. Tiny drops of dew had gathered on the blades of grass, sparkling beautifully under the early light. They looked like little diamonds scattered across the field. It was one of those simple sights that often go unnoticed, yet they can brighten your mood when you take the time to appreciate them.
Although the scenery was beautiful, the road itself was far from ideal. The heavy rainfall from the previous day had left behind several potholes and deep gutters created by erosion. We had to watch every step carefully to avoid slipping or twisting an ankle. Walking became more challenging than we had expected.
At one point, I suggested that we should turn back because the path ahead seemed even rougher. My mother, however, was determined to reach the point we had set as our goal. Seeing her determination encouraged me to keep going despite the difficult road. Eventually, we reached our destination and felt satisfied that we had completed what we had planned.
Unfortunately, while we were making our way back home, my mother suddenly complained of pain in her right knee. My heart skipped a beat because we were still some distance from home. There were no vehicles nearby, and I knew I wouldn't be able to carry her if the pain became worse. For a moment, I didn't know what to do except pray that things would improve.
True to her resilient nature, my mother refused to give up. She rested briefly, then slowly began walking again with my support. We took our time, moving little by little until we finally arrived home safely. I immediately helped her sit down and relax before applying a pain relief balm to the affected knee.
Seeing her walking better after some rest brought great relief to my heart. I couldn't help but thank Allah for bringing us home safely despite the unexpected challenge.
Today's experience reminded me that good health is a priceless blessing that we should never take for granted. It also taught me that determination is important, but we must listen carefully to our bodies and know when to slow down. Above all, I was reminded of the importance of caring for our parents whenever they need us. Every opportunity to support them is truly a blessing.
Thank you all for taking the time to read my diary. I wish everyone a healthy, peaceful, and productive day ahead.
