MANY HANDS LIGHT WORK: A BLESSED DAY AT THE CHURCH PERMANENT SITE

Greetings to all Steemians. May God give immense through Christ our LORD and Saviour, Amen.

It was a beautiful and exciting moment with some members of the church who showed up for clean-up exercise and to prepare tje church for the Thanksgiving Service for the safe delivery of my son.

The members' availability made it easier to finish the work on time without payment of any kind. After the work, the choir had their rehearsals while other arms were up and doing for the event.

What really happened? That day, I was already engaged with other things and joined them at about 8 am while the scheduled time was 6am. The greatest joy in my heart was meeting them, working happily. As their leader, I didn't waste time picking cutglass to clear a good portion of it. With the energy I brought, others, even those who were tired, continued.

The whole work was like we were playing, but the portion cleared was getting bigger. From what I demarcated to finish, the boys joined hands with me, and we got it done. We then entered the raking and parking of the grasses cut. The technology of parking made our work simple.

The spirit of one mind, one voice, made it possible to clear such a large portion of overgrown grasses. As a leader, do your best to have a good relationship with people. Do not feel so exalted above them. My principle to leadership is being a servant before playing the leading role. How they feel is not always how I want it. Religion was not to enslave but allow people to have their will, too.

One of the greatest joys in that exercise was how we amazed the passerby. Some of them who were not aware of church were appreciating our team spirit. The work was done, and other things were done while those who were supposed to go to work left.
