The Diary Game: A Long Journey, Heavy Electronics, and a Well-Earned Nap (04/05/2026)

Hello everyone! I am @gideonova and I want to share all about my interesting day today. Let's get into it! 😊

When we woke up my family and I started warming leftovers right away because my mom and I were going out and we needed to leave as early as possible. After eating I dressed up and headed out first. I told my mom to meet me at the junction because I am simply not the type that likes being rushed into walking fast — so I went ahead and waited for her there. She joined me shortly after and we crossed the road and flagged down a bus heading to Ogo-Oluwa. We were on our way to meet someone there and it took a while to get there but we eventually did. 🚌

We met the person at the filling station as planned, and from there he chartered a bus to take us to Owode-Ede. That was another twenty minutes on the road. The only thing that made the ride bearable was having my headphones on and listening to music the whole way through. 🎧

When we arrived at the store we spent nearly an hour there before we finally got the electronics we had come for. Then came the loading — and it was no joke. By the time everything was packed into the bus there was no space left except for the front seat, meaning only one person could follow the driver back to our house. I was the logical choice so I took the front seat and we hit the road. It was nearly forty minutes before we pulled up at home. I had to move our car out first so the bus could reverse in — the electronics were heavy and getting the bus as close as possible made everything easier. After we unloaded everything the driver left, I brought the car back in, and my mom arrived not long after. By this point it was already afternoon. 💪

She went in to check that everything was properly placed and it was all good. I went to freshen up and change out of my sweaty clothes. Then I ate some mango to ease my stomach and drank plenty of water to rehydrate. A little while after that I took the beans out of the freezer, added ingredients, and cooked it up to eat with garri. After eating I went straight to Free Fire — just to decompress and let my body relax a little after all that heavy lifting. I played for a good while before sleep caught up with me and I took a proper nap that carried me all the way to evening. 😴🫘

When I woke up in the evening I could already hear my brother's voice — he had returned from school while I was out cold. My vision was still blurry from the deep sleep so I took a moment to recover before getting up and helping out with dinner preparations. After cooking was done my mom fed the dog this time around, and then we all went inside and sat down to eat together. A fitting end to a long and physically demanding day. 🍽️
