My steem hop gameplay: betrayed by the timer

Hello everyone
Welcome back to my daily Steem Hop updates.Today was supposed to be the day of ultimate victory. I was locked in, moving fast, and completely on track to smash my personal high score of 279 hops. But instead of a glorious new record, today’s run ended in the most heartbreaking sabotage possible.

Before the heartbreak happened on the road, I opened up the daily wheel spin, and guess what? 111 points made its grand return. After a few days of random numbers like 55 and 777, landing back on 111 felt like reconnecting with an old friend. It gave me a super solid point bonus to start off the session with great energy.

With 111 points secured, I jumped onto the field and was playing out of my mind. Everything was clicking perfectly,I was breezing past river logs, timing train tracks cleanly, and weaving through traffic.
I hit 261 hops and was only 18 hops away from breaking my all-time record. I could literally taste the high score.
Then total disaster struck.
Right as I was speeding through a multi-lane highway, the 2-minute timer” Time’s up! Your 2 minute game is over” popup flashed right in the middle of my screen. In a panic to keep moving, I tapped the screen to clear the notification window, but that extra tap sent my character jumping straight into oncoming traffic BAM.Run over. Game over.

To be that close to a new personal best, only to be taken down by a popup timer, is painful. But honestly, even with the tragic ending, hitting 261 hops today showed me that my speed and focus are definitely getting better every single run. I know for a fact that 279 is getting broken very soon.
