Agricultural Activities Day | 18 April 2026 |"The intensity of irrigation and heat in rice fields is increasing day by day."
Assalamu Alaikum,
Today the land needs to be irrigated. I went to the land in the morning and fixed the drain line to provide water to our land and started the deep tubewell. Even though we started it in the morning, it was already noon before the irrigation was finished. Currently, the maximum load shedding is going on in every region of our country.
I have had several load sheddings during my irrigation. I am working even in the hot afternoon sun. We have finished irrigating one of our plots, so we have to shut off the line, but since the deep tubewell is far from the land, I shut off the line below the pipe, which resulted in overflowing water coming out from above. I quickly shut off the motor and connected the water line to another plot.
Today the temperature is very high due to which I am sweating alone. I returned home and drank lemon water and then sat under the fan. Load shedding occurred in a while. I was sitting on the balcony when my nephews and nieces came to play with me but I was tired and I did not feel good. I took a selfie with them and said goodbye to them.
In the afternoon, I went to the market to buy a button mobile phone for my mother. My mother told me to bring one like the previous mobile phone from home, but I can't find it, so I'm bringing another model from the Itel brand.
My parents have a lot of work to do tonight, so they will have to take a lot of medicine with them, which they will take if they feel sick, but they don't know what problem they are taking the medicine for, so I am writing separately for each medicine, which one will be taken for which disease. I am dividing each medicine into two. Abu Ammu's Hajj flight is on the 21st at 6.25 pm. I checked the flight ticket and gave them all the documents (visa, passport, copy of government medical report) in their bags. I talked to my parents for a long time at night because today, on the 18th and 19th, they will go to Dhaka and from there, from the Hajj camp, they will go to Mecca on the 21st.
