After achieving success from the soundtrack of "Trolls" with his song "Can't Stop the Feeling!", he made a return after two years with his album "Man of the Woods", which had mixed reviews though. The lead single has been "Filthy", an electro-funk R&B track. It was quite a bit of success though peaking at number 9 on US Billboard Hot 100, and had gone platinum. It reached number 15 on UK Singles chart, where it achieved Silver record status.
