SC-S33/W4 - Rewrite a Movie Ending: Frozen 2 – The Ending I Wish It Had

📖 What is the movie about?

The story of Frozen 2 begins a few years after the first film. Elsa hears a mysterious voice. That repeatedly calls her. She wants to know the secret of this voice. Because she feels it is related to her powers and her family's past.

Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven went on a new journey. During this journey. They learn many new things about the magical forest. The secrets of the past. Also their family history. There are many emotional moments in the film. Where the characters have to make difficult decisions.

The best thing about this film is that it shows not only magic. But also the importance of family and responsibility. Elsa finds her identity while Anna supports her sister in every difficulty.

💭 Why didn't I like the ending of the film?

At the end of the film. Elsa learns that she is the fifth spirit. That she belongs to the magical forest. After that, she decides to stay in the forest. While Anna becomes the new queen of Arendelle.

Many people may have liked this ending. But I personally found it a little sad.

Throughout the film we are shown the strong bond between the two sisters. They took risks for each other. Made sacrifices. Also faced every difficulty together. That's why when the two separated at the end. I felt like the most beautiful part of the story was weakened.

I know they weren't completely estranged. But it still feels like their lives are on separate paths now. I wanted the film to end with a message of family unity.

✨ If the ending were mine

If I were to rewrite the ending of Frozen 2. Elsa would have served as a bridge between the forest and Arendelle. But not permanently in the forest.

In my ending when Elsa learned her true identity. She decided that it was her responsibility to maintain the connection between the two worlds. She would visit the enchanted forest from time to time. But her home would still be Arendelle.

Anna would become queen and Elsa would help her. Together, the two sisters would serve the people. They make the kingdom stronger.

At the end of the film a big celebration would take place in Arendelle. Where the forest people and the citizens of Arendelle would celebrate together for the first time. This scene would symbolize that the mistakes of the past have been forgiven. A new era has begun.

Olaf have been making everyone laugh. This is with his usual witty banter. While Kristoff would have finally proposed to Anna in a beautiful ceremony.

Then Elsa would have used her magical powers to create beautiful snow patterns in the sky. The whole city would have seen them.

The final scene of the film would have ended with the two sisters standing on the balcony of the palace. Smiling at each other. Looking forward to the future. After that the screen would have slowly faded to black.
I think this scene would have been more emotional and memorable.

🌟 Why do I like my ending better?

I think the real strength of Frozen is the relationship between Elsa and Anna. When people remember this film. They don't just remember the magic or the snow. But also the love between the two sisters.

That is why I think it would have been more appropriate to have them together at the end of the film. This would have maintained the main message of the film. It given the audience a sense of complete happiness.

Also new responsibilities of Elsa don't end there. She could still play the role of a bridge between the magical world and humans. But without distancing herself from her family.

I always like endings where the characters both achieve their goals. Also maintain their close relationships. That is why I think Frozen 2 would have been an even more memorable film for me. If it had ended like this.

📚 What did I learn from this movie?

This movie taught me many beautiful things.

The first thing is that a person must accept their true identity. Sometimes we realize our abilities and our worth too late.

The second thing is that family is the greatest strength in life. When difficult times come, the first thing is that our own people stand by us.

The third thing is that we should not be afraid of change. New paths and new decisions keep coming in life. But we must move forward with courage.
And most importantly, love is proven not only with words. But also with actions. Just like Anna did for her sister throughout the movie.

💖 Closing remarks

Frozen 2 is one of my favorite animated movies. I really enjoyed it. Although I didn’t like the original ending. The story, characters and message truly inspiring.

If I had the chance to change the ending of this movie. I would have kept Elsa and Anna together instead of separating them. Because I think their relationship is the most beautiful part of the whole story.
