I hope you are all good. I am participating in this beautiful competition of Steem Agro. And the word I have chosen is Crop Rotation. It is an agricultural method that not only maintains the health of the soil. But also gives better results to the farmers' hard work. I will talk about this topic based on my knowledge. As well as my personal experience. So that this article is closer to reality.

◉🌾 Crop Rotation: A simple but very useful agricultural method◉

First of all let us understand what is Crop Rotation?

In simple words when different crops are grown alternately on the same land instead of growing the same crop every year. It is called Crop Rotation. For example if wheat is grown one year rice or corn the next year. And then a pulse or vegetable is planted after that it forms a complete cycle. This process provides the soil with different types of nutrients and does not weaken it.

We also do agriculture in our house and we have our own land. My father and brother work hard and grow crops themselves. I have seen them working in the fields since childhood. They work very hard and give time and attention to each crop. You know what guys are different crops are grown on our land. Including wheat rice potatoes sesame and various vegetables. All these crops are not grown at the same time. But in different seasons. And this is actually a form of Crop Rotation. The most important advantage of Crop Rotation. Is that it maintains the fertility of the land. When we grow the same crop repeatedly. The soil loses the nutrients that that crop needs. As a result the soil becomes weak and the yield decreases. But when we change the crop. The soil gets different nutrients and its strength is restored. Puncle crops add nitrogen to the soil. Which is beneficial for other crops.

Apart from this Crop Rotation also helps in preventing diseases and pests. Often pests attack only specific crops. If we continue to grow the same crop those pests increase and damage the crop. But when the crop is changed. The chain of these pests is broken and they decrease. Similarly various diseases also decrease. Another advantage of crop rotation is that it improves production. When the soil is healthy. The crop will also be good. For this reason our father and brother also change crops every year to get more and better production. I have seen for myself that when vegetables or sesame are planted after wheat. The soil becomes softer and better and the next crop is better.

Weather also plays a big role in agriculture. Nowadays it is raining continuously in our area. Due to which we could not take new photos of our land. I wanted to show you all the original photos of my fields. But this was not possible due to the rain. If rain is adequate it is very beneficial for the land. Because it fulfills the water shortage. But if it is excessive it can also damage the crops. Therefore farmers always have to make decisions according to the situation. Crop Rotation is not only beneficial for the land and the crop. But also better for the income of the farmers. By growing different crops. The farmer keeps getting income at different times. If there is a loss in one crop. The other crop compensates for it to some extent. In this way the risk is reduced and financial stability is achieved. In my opinion Crop Rotation is very simple. But very powerful method that every farmer should adopt. It does not cost much and is not difficult. It just requires a little understanding and planning. If we take care of our land. The land will also give us better results.
