Death Camas will not have the same pungent odor as Wild Onion so we've been told.

A true forager will check a lot visual characteristics like the leaf edge contour, flowering stem contour, natural habitat and season so they assure that they are eating a nonpoisonous wild plant.

Well that also means pets and livestock are at risk of eating poisoned wild plants. Oleander, Yew, Foxglove and Lily of the Valley can be found in most backyards and pet or animal grazing areas, and you leave your livestock to eat just anything, it's fatality you're bringing.
