The original ending of Skyline, involving alien body transfer and brain extraction, seemed strange and incomplete to me, like many others. Ending the story abruptly on such a suspenseful note ruins the enjoyment of watching. Your rewritten ending is the strongest part of the post. The way you portrayed the main character's struggle to maintain control of his alien body and use that power to save his pregnant partner made the ending of the story much more logical. Adding this struggle to preserve the existence of humanity and the escape plan with the limitations of the alien body has increased the thrill of the story a lot. In my opinion, if the power of love and the survival struggle had been made clearer and more elaborate in the movie like your ending, the audience would have gotten a proper conclusion, and the movie would have been more enjoyable to watch.
