That kid had good eyes, not sure if she was being taught that or she figure it out herself. I remember it was quite pretty with the white shimmer.
You are right. Art and creation shouldn't be restricted by rules and limitation of material.
I assume she figured it out herself or someone said coloured pencils look way better inlf you used in layers which could also be discovered by colouring outside the lines.
