Paintings on Jackets

Old files I found on my external hard drive that hadn't been published. A few years ago I bought some dinner jackets from my local charity shops to paint on. Done in oil paint, double primed, virtually unwearable as they are stiff and have the texture of sandpaper. Obviously can't be washed but easy to hang on the wall with a coat hanger.

More recently I did some on denim jackets which I'll update my website with at some point and make a video for. If I can find a way to display them and cover in Advertism I'd like to give them away at The Camden Market Free Art Man although I expect wearable and washable T-shirts are the way to go.

I find it a great idea. Did you ever try fabric dye? Are you still using oilpaint or is it acrylic on the denim jackets? I noticed if I wash the denim in some cases the paint is washed in others it remains. It isn't stiff (acrylic, oilpaint I only used once). I have fabric dye but didn't come to using it yet.
I wonder if oil and acrylic paint on fabric should be fixated as well (iron or in the oven) to make it softer and more washable, although dye on clothes will rarely remain.
