Zippora Velp

Although I was tired, I decided to pop over to Velp late yesterday afternoon to have a look at the new Dorcas charity shop there. I don’t actually find their prices particularly cheap. On the plus side, all the proceeds go towards aid abroad, including Eastern Europe.
The question was how I was going to kill the rest of the time, as free travel only starts after 6.30 pm. Luckily, it was one of the ‘Beller Thursdays’. This meant a fair with stalls all over the village until 7.00 pm.
There wasn’t much to my taste, so after being kicked out of Dorcas almost as soon as I arrived, I just pottered about. The sun was shining and there was a strong wind. Here and there, people were running after parasols set up on the terraces.
This time, there was also a stall for Zippora Meijer’s shop and gallery. She gave me a tour and we had a lovely chat, exchanged experiences and looked closely at and discussed a number of her paintings.
It’s always nice to talk to artists and share experiences.
If it comes to me... I started something. A test with the Cobra student oilpaint mixable with water.

And to those interested in some photos of the Velper Thursdays here they are..
