It’s wonderful to see how the mist changes and even distorts the view. The moment you zoomed in, it looked as though the scene had tilted, and I saw a huge spruce tree formed by the bank.
It is indeed almost surreal and certainly worth painting.
Thanks for the walk; I usually stay indoors when it’s foggy. Although I’m not afraid of the ‘white women’ (the wisps of fog are called ‘witte wieven’ in the east of the country. According to the stories, they bring bad luck or… actually good luck and protect the children).
