Failure is not the end of one's life; it is just a setback that delays someone's progress, which I view as an opportunity to prepare myself better. As a young girl with big aspirations, I consider the management of failure in life to be the most significant challenge an individual encounters.

This is because some individuals see failure at the end of their life, while it is just a temporary setback. Some individuals are afraid of failure, and once they fail in achieving what they want, they stop trying. However, individuals should understand that failure sometimes gives us the opportunity to come back stronger and be at our best.

Do you concur that failure manifests simultaneously in both indoor and outdoor environments? Your Perception!

Yes, I concur that failure manifests simultaneously in both indoor and outdoor environments. Our lives are being influenced by our environment, which, in a negative environment, discourages motivation in such a way that people get to see failure at the end point of their struggle, while a positive environment encourages a positive mindset and motivation, where people see failure as just a setback.

How can one effectively manage failure and subsequently overcome it? Please share some recommendations.

  • Acknowledge the emotions: This can be done by giving our permission to experience disappointment, frustration, or anger. Suppressing these feelings prolongs recovery

  • Separate failure from identity: By recognising that falling at a risk is different from being a failure.

  • Practice of self compassion: By treating ourselves with the same warmth and understanding we would offer to others. To this, we need to avoid harsh, generalised criticism.

  • Limit the pity party: taking time to process is okay, but it will be more okay for we to establish a boundary so we don't ruminate on ourselves indefinitely.
