Skills vs Degree! According to you, which one is more significant(pick one) and why?
Both skills and Degree are significant, which all depend on individual choice and financial background or ability. Before I will start by giving my point: if you're someone from a well-to-do background, get a degree, while if you're someone from a struggling background, get skills.
A degree is more significant because, through the process of acquiring a degree, we learn a lot about life and the world at large. A degree exposes us to a lot of things, such as how to speak, write, communicate, manage resources, and resolve disputes in our society, which skills only teach us what we need to know about the particular thing we are learning.
One can acquire both; a degree helps us to perfect our skills, whereas having just a skill without being educated can limit our changes of going far in life. Degree is the hope of a common man, and it places people on a higher level and bridges some gap between the rich and the poor. It is not all skills are viable and needed nowadays.
How do both influence our lifestyle? Explain!
Both influence our lifestyle in different ways. Skills influence our lifestyle by making us start seeing money on time, making us become an employer of labour, etc, while a degree influences our lifestyle by placing us higher above those with skills, making us have understanding, properly manage our resources, and have the confidence to speak and reason well.
One gives confidence, which is a degree, even when there is no money, whereas the other gives financial confidence but sometimes isolates us from the public and other opportunities, especially if one is unable to speak very well.
To sustain in life, which one helps us more, skills or degree? Your viewpoint!
Nowadays, it is skills that help us more to sustain life because of the high rate of unemployment and the high number of degree holders that we have.
As I said earlier, skills help us become financially independent on time, while a degree delays us from becoming financially independent because one needs to have a good-paying job, whereas the moment one learns a skill, he or she can start putting it into practice and be earning something from it.
