Conclusion and judgemental

The term "conclusion" extends beyond mere vocabulary; it often reflects our tendency to form judgments without possessing comprehensive knowledge of individuals or situations.

• For instance, when we encounter someone who is overweight, we may hastily conclude that they overindulge in food.

• Similarly, if an individual is relatively quiet, we might assume they are exhibiting an attitude.

• Furthermore, a well-dressed person may be perceived as ostentatious.

These examples highlight our propensity to make swift judgments about others, place, or circumstances without a thorough understanding.

Conversely, only a minority refrain from concluding
until they have acquired complete knowledge of the person, place, or circumstances in question. To fully comprehend a situation, one must engage with, experience, or face the realities that others encounter.

It is considerably easier to judge than to empathise. Genuine understanding requires us to place ourselves in the position of others,
thus allowing us to appreciate the true context of their experiences.

It is simpler to close the door on others than to open it. Personally, I have found that while I do not forget hurtful words, this does not equate to harbouring grievances.

We mustn't diminish our self-respect for any reason. Financial status or attire should not dictate our assessments of individuals. Allow me to share a pertinent anecdote.

During my tenure at an NGO named World Vision, a truck driver from South India visited our Chennai office,
which I had the opportunity to observe alongside a group of colleagues. The individual was attired in a dhoti, a traditional garment, which appeared soiled;
His hair was unkempt, and his face bore a considerable beard. The dhoti was folded customarily,
as typically observed among South Indian men.

Upon arrival, he requested to speak with a senior staff member. The receptionist, suspecting that he may simply have been passing time, asked for the purpose of his visit. The driver insisted on speaking with someone of higher authority, prompting the receptionist to comply.

When the senior officer arrived, the truck driver recounted the regulations for sponsoring a child.

He subsequently unfolded his dhoti, revealing a bundle of money that tumbled to the floor.

The astonishment of those present was palpable as the driver requested that the funds be used to assist as many children as possible before he departed, leaving his contact information behind.

This experience serves as a powerful illustration of how superficial judgments can skew perceptions,
underscoring the vital importance of understanding and empathy in our interpersonal interactions.

Each navigates their own struggles;
however, the manner of expression can vary significantly. Such variation does not define the individual.

It's important to take a moment to consider the circumstances of others
before forming any judgments. Each faces unique challenges, and recognising this fact can foster increased empathy
and understanding within our interactions.

Therefore, one cannot arrive at a well-informed conclusion based solely on external appearances or limited interactions. This perspective invites further dialogue, and I welcome your thoughts on the matter.
