Let's Draw Steemians — @imohmitch

in Steem Fashion&Style18 hours ago (edited)

There was one time I started something like this, but along the line I stopped.
But I'm here to continue. And this time, it'll last.
I'll be picking random Steemians and doing a sketch of them.
Stick around, and I might surprise you.

The steemian here is @imohmitch , he's been one of my mentors here.
He's one my closest friends as well.

I remember the last time I drew him, the result was not satisfactory. But this one is way too good.

•The tool I used is an ;

A4 drawing paper
A black biro

Steps
• Sketch;

From the reference Image I used, I took the proportions of the body shape and size, did same for the head as well.
I used dots to indicate.
After that, I started sketching.
This sketching was done carefully to avoid making serious mistakes. The dots I used for the proportions really helped in achieving a great result of the sketch.

After sketching out the body , I also used the same method to sketch the facial features for the head.
I also determine the size of the hair on the head and the size of the ear which is visible.

It looks like I started shading already. But let's talk about the clothing.
He wears a white shirt with a black tire and wears a Grey coloured jacket on it. Since the art is in black and white, you won't really get the grey colour results. But I've tried to do justice to it.

As you can see in the Image above, the shading began.
For the faces, normally I use cross-hatching but lightly, so it won't have too much texture.
For the hair, I use curling technique. The hair has more texture than the skin. So yeah....
With this simple shading, the image was already looking like imohmitch.
I knew it was going to end well.
I think it's the tie and the hair that had more texture in the art. So, I did cross-hatching repeatedly on the tire to give it more texture than every othe part of the drawing.

Doubt my ability na 🤣🤣😂.
This is my complete sketch. I took my time to do this. Unlike other artworks, this one's detailed.
I used the cross-hatching for the jacket but not as deep as the hair and tie.
I made sure to to add shadow areas, light areas, pops , etc .
For some writeups on the Jacket, I didn't really get what was on it , So I freestyled.

When all the shadings and detailing was completed, I wrote his name "imohmitch" and my username , then signed on it.
