The Person Who Inspired Me the Most
To all my Steemit friends, best wishes for your continued success, wherever you may be...

I’m trying to enter the contest hosted by @mamun123456 titled “https://steemit.com/hive-134325/@mamun123456/contest-alert-the-person-who,” and I’m inviting my Steemit friends @daffateuku, @seribubulan, and @tule to join this contest.
• Who is the person that inspired you the most?
---
As someone who works in the field of education, this particular figure is certainly one of the most inspiring. His name is “Ki Hajar Dewantara,” an Indonesian educational leader. There are many things that inspire me about him, he was also a freedom fighter. He is widely recognized and serves as a source of inspiration for the world of education, particularly in Indonesia, where his philosophy continues to influence educational practices to this day.
• How did you meet or know this person?
---
As an educator currently working at an elementary school, I wanted to learn more about him—a figure who was both a freedom fighter and an educational leader, whose teachings span from elementary school through college. For us, this figure is a great source of inspiration, and we studied him in greater depth—including the ideas he put forth—while attending the Teacher Training College, which trains elementary school teachers. It was there that we came to know this figure, who was, of course, a visionary whose ideas were closely tied to the world of education.
• What qualities or actions inspired you?
---
There are several important things that inspire me, one of which is the educational philosophy he championed when he founded a school called “Taman Siswa.” As someone involved in education, many of these principles serve as a guide for me in establishing or developing an educational institution. A particularly important concept is the Javanese phrase “tutwuri handayani,” which means that students must take the lead in their learning, while teachers must guide them so that they become people who are beneficial—at the very least—to themselves.
• How has this person changed your life or thinking?
---
As an educator, there is certainly a mindset that serves as a deeply moving source of inspiration. Changing the way we think about students—who were previously viewed as less intelligent—is what prevents them from developing and limits their potential. However, as he pointed out, all of that can be changed—by engaging in enjoyable activities, of course. Thinking far ahead is one source of inspiration that drives us to change, especially when it comes to education.
• What lesson do you continue to follow because of them?
---
One lesson that continues to be a source of strength and inspiration is his forward-thinking mindset, particularly regarding the world of education. He believes that all students possess different skills and need to be guided and directed. At times, we as teachers must put ourselves in every possible position for the sake of our students’ progress. When we are at the front, we must set an example; when we are in the background, we must be able to guide students to continue doing their best for the world of education and to apply their knowledge for the advancement of education in general.
Thank you to all my Steemit friends who have stopped by my post. Greetings, @muzack1
