The diary game||22/05/2026| (Friday Blessings - from harvest to white soup with pounded cocoyam )

Morning

I usually do home workout 4 times in a week, but today morning I didn't workout. I got out from bed and drank water as usual, I haven't skip that for years now.

Since my sister wasn't done getting ready for school, so we could read morning scriptural text; that's morning worship. I went outside to sweep. Our compound is not that big, so I was done in just few minutes, then joined my sister and Mom for morning worship.

After that, I pick my phone to check up my online activities. To my surprise, my data had expired. I was not sure were my next data will come from but I was hopeful.

A few minutes after, I had breakfast with Mom. Guess what? We're are going to the farm to harvest cassava.

At 8:05 am, the sun was already very hot today, so we took our hats along so to provide shade on our way and in the farm.

This wasn't the usual harvest where the cassava stems will be abandoned or cut to be used used in another farm. Mom uproots the cassava, gets it and burry the stem again so that new cassava will sprout. This method has really helped our family for years now to minimize cost of buying garri or fufu. Before we allow a plot of farm we plant cassava to rest, we've benefited many times instead of harvesting just once.

As a nature photographer, I couldn't hold back to capture the view of the farm valleys. Oh my God! I love this view🥰

Of course I didn't leave Mom and myself out of the shot. I also took photo of Mom and me with nature's beauty.

After a bountiful harvest, we head home smiling. Apparently, our hard work being had paid off because planting in a valley isn't that very smooth than flat land.

We got home and Mom rested for a while before going to the market. Today is Obu market, and the market is 3 minutes away from our house.

Afternoon

While Mom went to the market. I took the chance to prepare this week's article for our Sunday Christian meeting study.

I was lying on the bed going through the article, I woke up to notice that I slept off 😀 At least I have carefully gone through 12 out of 20 paragraphs. I'll finish the rest later.

Mom was back and started preparation for soup. Today she's preparing white soup and pounded cocoyam😋

When I was through with helping Mom in the kitchen. I was free now. So I continued the seasonal series I watched, From. My sister came back from school and joined me till evening.

Evening

I didn't do much in the evening, I paused the movie so I could charge my phone and finish some small house chores. After that, Mom served me delicious white soup with pounded cocoyam as swallow.

After dinner, I took my bath and steeped out to enjoy the evening breeze, then headed back home to finish up my diary game write-up, then post it.
