Overconfidence During Pregnancy Can Be Dangerous

Greetings to all my dear Multigravida and Multipara Mummies (mothers who have been pregnant or given birth more than once), it is a good thimgs that you've successfully gone through pregnancy journey before. But please do not let your past past experiences on both pregnancy and child delivery make you overlook the importance of participating in antenatal care.

You may likely be hearing people say this, "I've done this three times and I already know everything pertaining to pregnancy."

The truth is this, every pregnancy is unique. Meaning that Mrs A pregnancy journey goes well till labour and delivery abd Mrs B pregnancy had complications at 28 weeks of gestation, was corrected and there was safe delivery but through ceserean section. A pregnancy that was smooth last time doesn't guarantee that it will be the same for the next one.

Each pregnancy can come with several changes, risks, and complications that may not have occurred before. That doesnt call to be anxious or fear, rather it's a simple reminder that every pregnancy deserves proper monitoring and care till due delivery date DDD.

Not minding how many children, you still have to;

  • Register for antenatal care early.
  • Properly keep all your antenatal appointments.
  • Only take medications recommended by your healthcare provider.
    -Make report of any unusual symptoms promptly.

Experience is valuable and a great teacher, but it shouldn't replace any quality antenatal care. Protect yourself and your baby. Every pregnancy deserves proper attention and care.
