Diary Game-My momentous trip to Lafia

Oh Steemians! Today's my very special day. It really feels like some sort of bridge built from who I use to be to who am i turning out to be. I can't wait to take you along with me on this trip to Lafia the capital of Nassarawa State which has been inspired by visions and has an aim of the clearing admission procedures for me as regards National Open University of Nigeria(NOUN).

The Road Ahead Today I woke up with that "I know everything is going to feel different" feeling. The morning air was fresh and full of promise. As I started out I felt the churn of anticipation in me, thoughts about registration, lectures and every thing else that goes with being an academic. Getting to Lafia is an experience all by itself, but with every mile traveling I knew my future was getting closer. However, I knew there had been tremendous effort to achieve my admission.

Walking onto the campus grounds was beyond thrilling. It gave me a great sense of pride. The very words 'National Open University of Nigeria' that I could behold seemed extraordinary. I could feel the palpable sense of focus emanating from within the campus; that quiet hum that fills an institution for learning and education.

I spent quite a long period in the admin block carrying out the work to conclude the registration process. Below are snapshots of my surroundings: you could see the large wooden desks at the admin offices and the portraits of university leaders along the walls; I thought this was an ideal atmosphere.

The admission letter is only a part of what is required for one to begin developing his potentials; be it to investigate the marketing terrain, impact agricultural development, or venture into digital realities; I knew for sure that whatever I am doing in Lafia today, that decision and actions were apt and most fitting for me to have made. I was tired at the end of the day but I was fulfilled to know that all the paper work were in place; so I took my picture as the 'fresher' to become world changers; and came home with my traveling bag loaded with papers but spirit high.
