‎Hello Steemians, Welcome to My Blog!

‎Let me tell you how my day went. It was filled with a lot of herculean tasks, but I’m glad I was able to accomplish them all. This is farming season, and everyone in Africa knows what that means, early mornings, long hours, and a lot of physical work. I had to wake up early so I could tackle everything on my mental to-do list before the heat of the day set in.

‎My morning started with the basics. I made my bed, cleaned my room, and went outside to sweep the compound as usual. Keeping the environment tidy is part of my routine, and it always gives me a sense of order before the day gets busy. When I finished my chores, I decided it was time to hit the gym. It had been a while since I gave my body the exercise it deserves, and I could feel it.

At the gym

‎At the gym, I did a few sets of bench presses and push-ups. By the end, my muscles felt stiff and sore. That’s what happens when you take a break from weight lifting for too long, your body reminds you quickly. Still, the feeling was good. There’s something satisfying about pushing your limits and knowing you’re building strength again.

‎Once I was satisfied with the workout, I left the gym and headed straight home. After a quick refresh, I picked up my farming materials: a cutlass and a weeding hoe. The farm was waiting, and I knew I had to make the most of the cooler morning hours. When I got there, I worked tirelessly. The morning exercise turned out to be a great stimulator, it boosted my energy and made the farm work feel less draining. Clearing weeds and working the soil felt smoother than usual.

While working in the farm

‎When I was done with the farm work, I decided to fetch firewood for cooking at home.

The bunch of firewood

The woods were remnants of the sticks we had left behind during the bush-clearing period. Now they were dry and perfectly suitable for use. Gathering them saved me the trouble of cutting fresh branches, and it felt good to make use of what was already available.

Baby Prominent coming out to welcome me

‎By the time I got home, I was welcomed by my foster daughter, who was proudly showing off her new braids. I was surprised and happy to see her so excited. I kissed her and went inside, where I found my neighbor’s daughter sleeping. She was the one who had done the new hairstyle.

My foster daughter

‎Glory, that’s her name, had been helping out with household chores all day. She was clearly exhausted but content. I sat by her bedside and chatted with her about my farm experience today, thanking her for giving baby Prominent a fresh look.

The laundry hanging out in the line to dry

She smiled and told me she had even done some laundry for my daughter’s clothes. I thanked her sincerely and left her room to rest.

‎I was too tired to cook, so I decided to eat at a nearby restaurant. The food hit the spot, and it gave me a chance to relax before heading back home. Later in the evening, I prepared a little dinner for myself, just something light to round off the day.

‎After eating, I sat down to draft this post so I could share my day with you, my fellow Steemians. Days like this remind me how much work goes into simple living, but also how rewarding it feels to accomplish everything you set out to do.

‎Goodnight everyone. How was your day? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.

Thanks for going through my blog and post. I really appreciate that
