‎Hello my fellow steemians I'm here to narrate how I spent my day. First and foremost I want to say a big thank you to @m-fdo for organizing this creative contest.

‎As usual, I woke up early. The moment I stepped outside, I was greeted by the beautiful ambience of the morning sunrise, or twilight as some people call it. The sky was painted in soft shades of gold and orange, and the air felt calm and refreshing. I wanted to capture it immediately, but I wasn’t happy because my smartphone was switched off at that moment. I always feel a little disappointed when I see a perfect scene and can’t snap it right away. Still, I took a mental picture and promised myself I’d try again tomorrow.

‎After admiring the sunrise for a few minutes, I went along with my normal routine. It turned out to be a bright, sunny day, and I was very thankful and grateful for it, especially after two rainy days in a row. Rain has its own charm, but there’s something uplifting about sunlight after a stretch of cloudy weather. The warmth made everything feel lighter. After completing my morning routine, I took my breakfast and felt energized for the work ahead.

Progress shots of the artwork

‎Today’s main task was finishing the artwork I wanted to frame in Uyo. The job was commissioned by my friend Wills, who has become my favorite client. She trusts my creativity and always gives me the freedom to bring her ideas to life. I spent time adding the final touches to the piece, making sure every detail was neat and balanced. There’s a quiet satisfaction that comes with putting the last brushstroke on a work you’ve been focused on for days.

The finishing of the artwork

‎When I was done with everything at home, I went to the road and boarded a bike heading to Ikot Ekpene. The ride was fast and smooth. My bike man knew the route well, and within a couple of minutes I was already in Ikot Ekpene. From there, I boarded a mini bus going to Uyo. I enjoyed the trip. The road was smooth, the driver was careful, and the journey felt safe. I used the time to think about how I wanted to present the artwork at the frame shop.

At the frame shop fixing the frame

‎When we got to Uyo, I alighted at Chicken Republic and went straight to the frame store to handle the business of the day. I met the owners of the frame store on the way. They opened their shop and started working right away. My work was the second job of the day. They fixed it in a box frame, and that was my first time using a box frame. I really loved the innovation. Moving from a tiny, simple frame to a deep box frame gave the artwork more depth and presence. It looked professional, modern, and ready for display.

Framed and ready for delivery

‎A lot of people who walked into the shop noticed the piece and complimented it. Some of them took my mobile number and promised to work with me someday. I was glad that my job could attract attention and interest. It felt magnificent to see strangers appreciate what I had created. Those small moments of recognition keep me motivated to improve with every project.

Ready for delivery

‎When the framing was done, I went to Ewet Housing Estate to submit the job to Wills. She was pleased with how it turned out, and that made all the effort worthwhile. After handing it over, I came back to Ibom Plaza and joined a bus back to Ikot Ekpene. When I got to Ikot Ekpene, I boarded a bike going to Ikono, where I stay for now.

‎By the time I got home, it was already late. I took my dinner, drafted this post, and went to bed with a grateful heart. It was a long but fulfilling day, full of creativity, travel, and small wins.

‎Since this is a contest I will like to invite
