Tiny Hoverfly (Paragus Haemorrhous )
Hoverflies are best known as pollinators, besides bees. They also feed on both pollen and nectar for energy to produce eggs, which are usually seen on flowers but also occasionally on grasses and trees. Hoverflies may vary in color and size, but I mostly found yellow and black hoverflies, which sometimes made me identify them with wasps or bees. However, this one is included in the Paragus haemorrhous family, which has a very small body form; we need some time to detect their presence around. They belong to the family Syrphidae, in the order Diptera. This is a tiny version of a hoverfly that I found around the grass near the woodland. As it is a tiny insect, I managed to take its photos with extreme macro so I could be able to perceive the detailed look of this insect.
