The Diary Game: Monday 01/06/2026 | Lectures, Market Run and Rice That Hit Different After a Long Day
Welcome to my diary game for today Monday the 1st of June 2026. It was one of those days where you just had to keep moving no matter what. Let me take you through it.
Morning |
|---|
I woke up this morning and the first thing I did was wave at nobody in particular. 😂
There was nothing to eat at home. Again. If you have been following my posts you will know this is becoming a familiar Monday morning experience for me. But hunger has never stopped me from showing up and today was not going to be different.
I took my bath, got dressed and headed out.
On The Way To School |
|---|
One thing I have learned as a student is that you have to be smart about everything including transport. My coursemate and friend Crown and I have an arrangement. We meet up and ride to school together to split the transport cost. Small saving but it adds up.
That is Crown right there. Always ready, always on time. We linked up and headed to the University of Delta together.
Walking through that gate never gets old for me. Final year. Almost at the finish line.
Lectures
Our lecturer for CSS 417 Remote Sensing and GIS did not show up on time. So we just sat in the hall waiting, gisting with each other, doing what Nigerian students do best. Managing. 😄
When he finally arrived he took us through the lecture. Remote Sensing is actually one of the more interesting courses in my final year. It is about how we can gather information about objects and areas through devices that are not physically in contact with them. Satellites, aircraft, drones. Think about how much that connects to security and surveillance.
I made sure to take proper notes. Exams are next month and I cannot afford to be catching up at the last minute.
After that I stepped outside for some air and just moved around the campus for a bit.
Heading Home |
|---|
After school I hopped on a bike back towards town.
I love this shot honestly. The road, the palm trees, the solar street lights. This is Agbor. This is home.
Market Run |
|---|
I stopped at the market to buy ingredients. Tomatoes, pepper, the basics. Spent 6k altogether.
The market was busy as always. Women selling yam, tomatoes, pepper, oranges, palm fruits. The everyday hustle of Agbor in full display.
Evening |
|---|
Got home around 2pm and we cooked rice and stew. I forgot to take a picture of the food and yes I know that was a big mistake for a diary game. 😂
But I will tell you this. Rice and stew after a full day of lectures and market runs hits completely different. Every grain was earned today.
By evening I was back home, resting, reflecting on the day and grateful for the small things.
Final Thoughts |
|---|
Today reminded me that the ordinary days are actually the ones that build you. No drama, no big event. Just a student showing up, attending lectures, spending wisely and eating a meal he cooked himself.
That is enough. That is life. 💪
Thank you for following my diary today. See you in the next one!
