What business are you currently doing, or what business would you like to start? Explain why you chose it

Photography is the business I am into, and it is a career I chose because it combines my passion with my desire to build a successful future. To me, photography is more than just taking pictures; it is about capturing special moments and preserving memories that people can treasure for a lifetime.

I chose photography because I enjoy being creative and telling stories through images. Every photoshoot gives me the opportunity to meet new people, visit different places, and improve my skills. It is a profession that challenges me to keep learning while doing something I truly love.
Another reason I chose photography is because it has great business potential. People and businesses will always need quality photographs for events, celebrations, branding, and marketing. With dedication, consistency, and hard work, I believe I can build a successful photography business and become financially independent.
Choosing photography has taught me patience, creativity, and the value of paying attention to details. I am proud of the career path I have chosen, and I look forward to growing my business, creating lasting memories for my clients, and making a positive impact through my work

If you were given $200-$500 today to invest in a business, how would you use the money? Give a simple business plan

If I was given between $200 and $500 to start a business, I would choose photography because it is the business I am already into and have a passion for. Rather than investing in a different business, I would use the money to improve and expand my photography business.
The money would help me buy better equipment such as a professional camera, additional lenses, lighting equipment, tripods, memory cards, batteries, and editing software. I would also set aside some money for branding, printing business cards and flyers, creating a portfolio, and promoting my services on social media to reach more customers.

My photography business would provide services for weddings, birthdays, graduations, naming ceremonies, church events, portraits, and business promotions. My target customers would include individuals, families, schools, churches, companies, and event organizers who need quality photographs.
To make the business successful, I would focus on delivering high-quality work, treating my clients with respect, and completing every job on time. I would continue learning new photography and editing skills so I can improve my services and stay competitive.
My goal is to build a trusted photography brand, attract more clients, increase my income, and eventually open a fully equipped photography studio. I believe that with dedication, consistency, and good customer service, my photography business will continue to grow and become successful.

What do you think are the three most important qualities every successful entrepreneur should possess? Explain your reasons.

Being an entrepreneur means owning and managing a business. It is not always easy because every business has its good and bad days. There will be times when things go as planned and other times when challenges will come. That is why an entrepreneur needs certain qualities to succeed. In my opinion, three of the most important qualities are hard work, patience, and honesty.

The first quality is hard work. A successful entrepreneur must be ready to put in time and effort to grow the business. There will be times when sales are low or customers are few, but a hardworking entrepreneur will keep trying instead of giving up. Hard work also helps a business owner improve their skills, provide better services, and achieve their goals. Without hard work, it is difficult for any business to grow.

The second quality is patience. Every business needs time to grow, so an entrepreneur should not expect quick success. There may be delays, mistakes, or challenges along the way, but patience helps a business owner stay calm and keep moving forward. A patient entrepreneur understands that every step taken today can lead to greater success in the future. Patience also helps in dealing with customers and making wise decisions instead of acting out of anger or frustration.

The third quality is honesty. Honesty is very important in every business because it helps people trust you. Customers like to do business with someone who is truthful and reliable. When an entrepreneur is honest, keeps promises, and treats customers with respect, people are more likely to come back and even recommend the business to others. A good reputation can help a business grow faster because trust is something money cannot buy.
I believe these three qualities work together. Hard work helps the business move forward, patience gives the business time to grow, and honesty helps build strong relationships with customers. When an entrepreneur has these qualities, they are more likely to overcome challenges and achieve success.
Becoming a successful entrepreneur takes more than just having money to start a business. It also requires the right attitude and good character. By being hardworking, patient, and honest, anyone can build a strong business and earn the trust and support of customers. These qualities may seem simple, but they are the foundation of every successful business.

Have you ever experienced a business failure or major challenge? If yes, what lesson did you learn from it?

One of the biggest challenges I have faced as a mobile photographer is working during the rainy season. Although I enjoy photography, the rainy months do not sit well with me because most of my work depends on good weather and natural light. When it rains, many outdoor photo sessions are cancelled or postponed. Even when clients are willing to continue, the rain can make it difficult to get the kind of pictures they expect.

As a mobile photographer, I depend heavily on my phone and other small accessories. During heavy rainfall, I have to be extra careful because my phone and equipment can easily get damaged by water. Sometimes I arrive at a location only for the weather to change suddenly, forcing us to stop the session. This can be frustrating because it wastes time and may even reduce my income if the shoot is cancelled.
Another reason I do not enjoy the rainy months is that the sky is often cloudy, making it difficult to get bright and colourful pictures. Wet roads, muddy locations, and poor lighting also affect the quality of outdoor photographs. In some cases, clients become disappointed when they have to reschedule their events or photoshoots because of bad weather.
Instead of allowing the rainy season to discourage me, I have learned to handle the challenge in different ways. I always check the weather forecast before fixing a date for outdoor shoots. If rain is expected, I discuss other options with my clients, such as changing the time, choosing an indoor location, or postponing the session to another day. I also keep waterproof bags and covers to protect my phone and accessories whenever I am travelling for work.

The rainy months also give me time to improve myself. When I have fewer bookings, I spend time learning new editing skills, practising with indoor photography, updating my portfolio, and promoting my work on social media. This helps me stay productive even when the weather is not favourable.
Although the rainy season brings many challenges, it has taught me to be patient, and prepared. Every business has its difficult moments, and photography is no exception. By planning ahead, protecting my equipment, and making good use of my free time, I have been able to overcome these setbacks. I believe that with consistency and determination, every challenge can become an opportunity to learn and grow as a mobile photographer.
