SLC-S31/W1-“Creative Interpretation| The Word (Invisible)”
On a rainy day, Deborah sat down in a lonely place thinking about her life which is invisible to the eyes of others. No one knows her struggle or what she has been going through.
People seem not to understand her, as many thought her sadness was because she was not happy, but no it was not, it was because of the heavy burdens in her heart.
Things became invisible for her to achieve because she thought all hope was gone. She only see her self doing better in her dreams but physically she can't see herself doing better but is full of problems.
Everything physically became invisible for her to accomplish or see, then in her dream, physically things that she could imagine became invisible for her. Her mind, thoughts, and emotions were all invisible to her during the day.
She could see her late father in her dream, but physically it is invisible for her to see her late father. One night while she and her sister were asleep, her father appeared to her and she saw him, and then woke her sister but her sister saw nothing and began questioning her if he was okay or not.
Explain what “invisible” represents in your interpretation.
Invisible represent the things Deborah couldn't see physically during the day but could only imagine seeing them in her dream at night. Also, it represents the missed interpretation that people have towards her who know nothing about her problem, but could only see her mood.
Describe the emotion connected to your piece.
The emotion that is connected to my story is a sorrowful moment where one gets to think about something that had happened in the past and hopes for the thing to come back to life. The demise of Deborah's father changed everything about her life which made her so weak.
If your interpretation had a color or sound, what would it be and why?
If my interpretation had a colour or sound it would be; black colour and a calm sound because black signifies a sorrowful and mourning moment in one's life, which a calm sound is usually used during such moments.

Well written! The image of invisible suffering and loneliness you have portrayed through Deborah's story is truly touching. Especially seeing the lost person through dreams has added depth to the story. The choice of black as a symbol of mourning and the calm tone are very appropriate.
Do you have any special advice for those like Deborah who go through such invisible mental pain to come out of this situation?
Best of luck for the competition!
🎉 Congratulations!
