What or whose inner struggle stood out the most for you in the movie?

As I watched the movie over and over, I came to discover it is **Desmond Doss ** inner struggle that stood out the most. He is a soldier who refused to carry a weapon due to his beliefs, which often led to ridicule, punishment, and rejection from his fellow soldiers.

His inner struggle stood out to me because his battle was not just against his enemy, but against doubt, fear, and the pressure for him to compromise his values and reputation.

Which moment showed real strength and why?

The moment that showed real strength was during the battle of Okinawa which is when Desmond Doss repeatedly went back into the battlefield alone without support to rescue a wounded soldier.

Even when he was exhausted and under heavy fire, he didn't stop; instead, he kept praying and saying, "Just one more". This showed real strength because Desmond Doss risked his life not to fight, but to save others, which is proof that courage isn't about aggression but about sacrifice and compassion.

How did the character change by the end?

The character change by the end, when Desmond Doss transformed from being mocked and doubted into being deeply respected by his fellow soldiers. He stood for truth and for what his beliefs throughout, which his resilience earned him honour and recognition. The world around him changed, but he himself didn't change who he was.

Conclusion

The movie titled "Hacksaw Ridge" which I have talked about is an interesting movie that teaches us about standing firm in our values, even when we stand alone, it is one of the highest forms of courage.

Thanks for inviting me, I have watched this movie a few years ago and remember it thoroughly, especially how the hero fought this war and all about his purpose to be in this war. By the way this movie was shot in Australia and I was there at that time.
