Movie Character you relate with - Gunjan Saxena

Watch a movie- Gunjan Saxena

The movie 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' came out in Bollywood in 2020. It is an emotional film that tells us about Gunjan Saxena. She was the female combat pilot in the Indian Air Force. I have already reviewed this movie once on Steemit; however, since it is suitable for this contest, I am happy to review it once again.

This movie is about Gunjan Saxena and how she dealt with people treating her unfairly because she is a woman. The story of Gunjan Saxena is told in a nice and inspiring way. It focuses on the relationship between Gunjan Saxena and her father. The movie 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' shows us how strong the bond is between a father and his daughter, like Gunjan Saxena and her father.

Plot

The movie is about Gunjan Saxena and her struggles with a society that does not treat women equally. Director Sharan Sharma shows how tough it was for Gunjan during the 1999 Kargil War and how she worked hard to achieve what she wanted. Gunjan learned a lot from the times she faced because people did not think women were as good as men. She became stronger and more confident because of these experiences. This helped her to keep going and win in the end.

The story of this movie is about people being surprised when they find out that a man who was not supposed to be able to fly a plane went to war and did a job flying the plane. He played a part in helping India win the war. The movie is really, about Gunjan and the Kargil War and how Gunjan dealt with people who did not think she could do things because she is a woman.

In this film, Janhvi Kapoor’s performance—portraying a character who undergoes training to successfully become a fighter pilot—is truly impressive, as is her athletic physique, which is perfectly suited for the role.

Choose a character you strongly relate with

This film tells the story of Gunjan Saxena, a real-life Air Force pilot, detailing how she triumphed through the challenges of training and the battlefield. The character of the pilot made a deep impression on me, and I really liked Janhvi Kapoor—Sridevi's daughter—in the role.

In the film, when she announced that she was going to train as a pilot, she faced strong opposition from both her family and society; during the training itself, she encountered resistance based on the notion that a woman could not fly an aircraft or that it was not a suitable profession for a woman. Similarly, we too received a lot of negative comments from our social circle and friends when we sent our daughter for pilot training.

Mention the similarities between you and that character?(Struggles and strength)

This movie is deeply personal to me because my daughter used to watch it frequently before sho go for training; the struggles depicted in the film boosted her confidence. My daughter has now become a pilot, and I believe this character played a part in that journey. Initially, the idea of a woman entering this field seemed dangerous and daunting to us, but the movie gave us hope and served as an inspiration for my daughter. While the character's story focuses on her struggles, she became a role model for women in general and for those aspiring to become pilots.

My Daughter poses when she received the Commercial Pilot License-a proud moment

When we mentioned that my daughter was training to become a pilot, everyone offered negative advice. They claimed that women could not cope in this field, that it was too dangerous, and that studying abroad was beyond a woman's capabilities. They insisted that women could not handle the training or fly an aircraft on their own, and argued that the profession was unsafe and unsuitable for women with families. I would like to highlight that, despite facing all this opposition, this specific character trait played a role in my daughter successfully becoming a pilot.
