The diary game: Discovery, Boredom and a Rainy Day [03-07-2026]

Hello everyone, welcome to another episode of my dairy session @magnacarta. I won't be sharing something out of the extraordinary though, but I'll be giving you a highlight on how my day went and a new discovery I made in my course of study. So sit tight!

So today I woke up with cramps (of course my ladies can relate) and so I lay in bed groaning in pains. But what can I do? I had to endure. But as the Bible would say, weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning, as power was restored. But that didn't move me.

While laying in bed with pains I thought out what to eat and fortunately I had left over rice and peppersoup I had prepared yesterday. I got up heated it and ate. After eating, I felt a bit relieved. As usual, I had plans of visiting the library today but the weather was too cold to leave the house and I had washed my pull-overs and so I couldn't move to anywhere.

It was time to bathe and so I heated some water, had my bathe and brushed my teeth. I felt refreshed afterwards and I set my reading table to study.

Today's study was on whole different level. (Lest I remind you that I'm an undergraduate of Law at the University of Uyo, Akwaibom State, Nigeria. I offer four law courses at level 300. They include: Law of torts,maritime law, commercial law and criminal law). Back to my study experience/discovery. Today I considered the offence of robbery under Nigerian criminal law. The law governing crime in Nigeria primarily is the Criminal Code and the Penal Code( Great Nigerian law students!!!). What is robbery? According to section 401 of the Criminal Code, robbery is act of stealing and at the time, immediately after or before stealing a threat of force or actual violence is applied in other to obtain and retain the property stolen. In pidgin, robbery na when you go thief ehn and before you thief you jigger the person small, before you thief, after you thief or when you wan thief, so you go corner am ( laughs out loud). I won't want to bore you with all I studied. But, do you know that what you may consider robbery isn't robbery in the eyes of the law??. How? Where a creditor (someone who lends money)uses threat and violence to collect the 'exact' amount of money from his debtor it is not considered stealing talk more of robbery. Note the word 'exact'. If he collects more than what he's owed then it is robbery and assault. However if his debtor wants to sue he may sue for assault. But he got don chop beating first (laughs hard).

After reading, I headed to get food outside (guess what it was) and fruit as well. And here I am sharing with you my ordeal...
