Diary Game 12th June 2026|| Accompanying Heartland Bikers on a ceremonial visit||
My Friday was going very slow and calm until my friend asked me to accompany them to an event. They were already gathering so I had just 30minutes to get ready and get there.
I made it in time and got there, but to my utmost speeding out, just few bikers had come out.
This meant we had to wait for the others. While we waited greetings were being called out in a banter filed atmosphere. To the credit of the late comers, they didn’t waste so much time coming out. Now we had a full house.

Once everyone had shown up, we headed straight for mbaise as that was the venue for the ceremony. One thing I love most when riding in a biking entourage is the coordination. No man is left behind.
There is a road captain and also a sweeper who stays at the back to make sure everyone is in the entourage.
We arrived the venue in one piece to meet the ceremony underway. The deceased had already been put in the ground and most of the rites had been done.
Thankfully because once we arrived, it seemed we stole the show. The deceased was a grandmother to one of our club member so his wife and her family came forward while we felicitated with them.
After a while food was brought for us, but because the place was too roudy, the club president suggested we take it somewhere calmer. This began our journey to the club members own compound. Turns out he’s also from mbaise.
We arrived and food was served.

While some ate ugba, others ate rice. It took a while but finally the rice got through to everyone and the feast began. While others ate, this guy right here was taking pictures and videos of others to make a sticker.
He got some good vidoes and made everyone laugh.

Banter amongst men is one for the books really. We were only two females there, myself and a female biker and we were given princess treatments. This has been the situation every time I’m in their midst. We showed up, enjoyed ourselves and headed back into town.
You never know how a day will turn out so never conclude early!
