Why is Dad a servant?
"Why is the father a servant" was released in 1997 and is one of the social hit movies. This 156-minute film is produced and directed by Razzak. He has completed 56 years of age. He has retired from his job. He said in two minutes and four seconds of the film. I can only feel that I have grown older. He has presented the ideals in front of everyone during his long service tenure. He said that seeing the writing on the wall, he said that stealing money by holding a pistol to someone's chest. Which we call hijacking. Just as it is a crime, collecting money by holding someone's file is an equal crime. It is like losing to fate.

However, after Razzak's retirement, he received two lakh taka. He had saved the money for his daughter's marriage. But the elder son borrowed two lakh taka from Razzak on the advice of his wife. After that, the elder son's wife is slandering and insulting Razzak and his wife in various ways. But the elder son is silent like a child -1.10 hours But the son did not take any action against his wife. However, Razzak has taught his son to be polite throughout his life. When we see and hear this injustice towards parents by the child, then the matter becomes very difficult for the parents.
What social issues did the movie highlight?

The social problem of the film is that belittling an ideal father in front of everyone is a great injustice to the child. When the father takes food to the office for his son, the office worker calls the father a servant in front of the son, and this breaks the father's heart. He comes out of his son's office and sees that the little boy is a driver. Seeing that scene, he looks for a job in different places but does not get any job. Later, the father finally serves his sick wife by driving a wheelbarrow. -You can see this scene at -26 minutes. The film is made on the subject of poverty, the hardship of parents, hard work and the father being a coolie. And it gives an important message to the people of the society to understand justice and injustice. I had tears in my eyes at the end of watching this film.
Has this changed your perspective on this issue?

One should treat parents well. Not just to satisfy hunger, but to get peace even for a while. The poverty in the movie helps me work hard. At the same time, it creates interest in taking care of parents. I am aiming to be great and generous like the driver's little boy. Even if I work hard, I will not disrespect my parents. Such situations are included in my outlook. After watching this movie, I have changed myself more to be honest and generous and stand by the distressed people. And I have followed the norms of society and the aspects of treating people well. As an educated and grown-up child, I will never let my father become a daily wage laborer.
How is the topic discussed this week relevant today?

This particular hardship, hard work and poverty of the movie has inspired me to follow the words of respect for parents and to be hardworking. This interesting content of the movie seems realistic to watch. The great creator has given parents so much patience that they remain steadfast for the family despite being daily wage earners. However, parents never go crazy. The movie has similarities with reality. For example, no one's life is as happy as mine. However, this movie is very relevant for a father to fulfill his family responsibilities.

There is a saying that a true leader is the servant of his people. If a leader can't submit themself to the people they lead and pay attention to providing their needs, then that leader should truly evaluate themselves if they are truly leading.

That father who brought food for his son is an example of an ideal leader.

While society sometimes ridicule people like this and sometimes mock them for their humility and caregiving nature, it doesn't render his actions as bad.

Imagine ridiculing your mom because she packed food for you to take to work or school. Isn't that absurd? Why should anyone mock parents when they are kind to their offsprings?

I'd always celebrate every parent and every individual who supports their family without reservation. These ones don't need society's validation to do what's right. They are the real MVPs.

In fact, parents are a very big banyan tree for a child. Even after a father has suffered all his life for his child, he says I am right. And he never gives up on himself. You are right, parents are the best. It was difficult for me to find and tell an interesting story for such a picture. I have never faced such a question. This is my first time writing about a picture. I don't know how it happened. But I am grateful that you respect and love your parents. I am very happy and inspired by your comments.
