STEEM EVM Update: 9 Validators, Call for New Nodes & August 1st Reward Deadline

The Steem Virtual Machine (SVM) continues to grow in both stability and decentralization. Today, I am proud to announce that our validator set has expanded to 9 active nodes with the recent addition of @happycapital.
This growth demonstrates strong community interest and confidence in the SVM's long-term vision. However, to ensure true decentralization and robustness, we need more participants. I am issuing a formal call to the Steem community to join us as validators before the upcoming deadline.

📢 Call for Validators: Join Before August 1st
We are actively seeking more community members to run validator nodes. If you have technical experience with Linux servers and Docker, you can help secure the network and earn significant rewards.
💰 Genesis Reward: 5M SHERPA Pool
To incentivize early participation, a dedicated bucket of 5,000,000 SHERPA tokens will be distributed equally among all validators who join and remain active prior to August 1, 2026.

- Reward: Equal share of 5,000,000 SHERPA upon Mainnet launch.

How to Become a Validator
Setting up a node is straightforward using our Docker-based infrastructure.
- Requirements: A VPS with at least 4GB RAM, 2 CPUs, and 100GB SSD storage.

Network Health & Governance
The network remains healthy with over 100,000 blocks produced.
Governance Proposal #1 is still open for voting. This proposal activates the governance precompile, enabling MetaMask-based voting in the future. Your vote helps finalize this crucial UX improvement.
