The Diary Game:4th August,2026: A day of not being at home and a stressful day
Good day everyone, it’s Jago of Lagos here again. I will be telling you guys about how I spent my day.
I woke up this morning and had my morning devotion. After the devotion, I sat down for a while. Since my brothers were still asleep, I went to the kitchen and started washing plates.
When I was done, my dad called me outside and said we should go uproot the grasses growing in the compound. We did that. I told him I wanted to fetch water, but he said no, my senior brother would do it. So I said okay.
After clearing the grass, we went to buy and eat. Then my brothers left for work. It was just me, my dad, and my junior brother left at home. My dad gave us money to make food. So I used the money to buy garri, and we made eba with the remaining soup we had. We ate.
After eating, I didn’t waste time at home. I went to the factory where I work because I had given my junior brother my power bank to go charge, but there was no light. So I went back to the factory to get the power bank and started using it. It wasn’t low when I gave it to him.
After using the power bank, it got low while I was playing a game. My phone suddenly went off. I ran home, picked my other power bank which was fully charged, and plugged in my phone. As soon as it got to 1%, I turned it on and went back to the game I was playing.
Around 10 AM, I went to my cousin’s place and stayed there till 3 PM. I was just there doing nothing.
When I came back home at 3 PM, I soaked my brother’s clothes — just a shirt and a trouser, not much — and washed them. After washing, I cleaned the house while my junior was outside playing with other kids
About 10 minutes later, they brought light. I went to the factory again to charge my phone, but I wasn’t feeling like staying there. So I carried my phone, power bank, and charger and went to my cousin’s place instead. There was enough power there, so I charged both of my power banks and my phone.
While I was still there charging and pressing my phone, my senior brother walked in. He’s the one who had gone to work. He came to my cousin’s place to charge because there was no light in our house.
I wasn’t expecting him, so I was surprised when he walked in. He asked for one of the power banks, and I gave it to him. There was light at my cousin’s place, and he was still charging the power bank.
After I gave him the power bank, he told me that one of my elder brothers would be coming home today and asked what we were cooking. I was shocked because I didn’t know, and my dad hadn’t given me anything to cook. So I just told him, “Nothing.”
After staying there for a while, we wanted to leave his phone and power bank there. But as we were walking outside, the light went off. So we turned back, went inside, and picked up our phones.
As we were walking home, we saw the brother who was supposed to come today. We also saw the other brother who had gone to work and hadn’t come back yet. They were both on a bike. They dropped off and we all walked home together — me, my junior brother, my elder brother, and three other brothers.
After getting home, we just sat and discussed while I was on my phone playing games though the network wasn't stable
When it was night time, they sent me to my cousin’s place up to three times to get something for food.
Later, my dad came back and we cooked rice and ate. After we ate, I was very tired because I had been walking up and down all day. So I just went to bed.
