The Diary Game – Teaching and Additional Duty as Duty Teacher
Good evening and warm greetings to Steemians everywhere, how are you all doing today? I hope we are all in good health and under the protection of Allah SWT, enabling us to carry out our various activities smoothly and successfully. Alhamdulillah, I am back to share the activities of this wonderful day.
Taking on additional duties such as serving as the daily duty coordinator and handling teaching hours has required me to arrive at school earlier. It is the responsibility of the daily duty staff to ensure that classes run smoothly throughout the day. This is particularly important given the clear rule prohibiting students from bringing mobile phones to school unless there is an urgent need, consequently, one of the duty staff's tasks is to ensure that any student who brings a phone deposits it in the box provided by the school.
Even so, there are students who break the rules by still bringing cellphones to school secretly. Thank God, Wednesday morning in the middle of this week the atmosphere was so bright that it added enthusiasm to start activities. The morning road that I take to my place of work is still very quiet with people's activities. Only a few motorized vehicles were visible on the national highway. Even though I had additional assignments, I still stopped for a moment at my regular coffee shop. In Lom Kupi I enjoyed a cup of black coffee, which has become a routine habit every morning.
That caffeinated black beverage offers numerous health benefits. I spent only a few minutes at the coffee shop before paying the bill and heading out. I made my way straight to my beloved school, which was located just a short distance from Lom Kupi. Upon arriving at the lush, shady school grounds, I saw that students were already beginning to stream in. After parking my vehicle, I clocked in using the fingerprint scanner. Then, I headed to the school gate to welcome the students as they continued to arrive in large numbers.
We must resume the practice of welcoming the nation's future leaders to help cultivate the positive character traits that have begun to fade among students. It is a simple gesture, yet it sets a good example for learners who are still discovering their own identities. When the clock struck 7:30 AM, as the duty coordinator, I rang the bell signaling the start of classes. Since I was scheduled to teach the first period, I immediately headed to classroom XI-3 to fulfill that primary responsibility.
In the social studies specialization class, I continued with the previous material and wrapped up the session by assigning exercises for the students to complete. When the bell rang for the change of periods, I left the classroom and headed to the staff room. I took a break at the duty desk while keeping an eye on the teaching and learning activities to ensure everything ran smoothly. Just before noon, I stepped out of the school grounds briefly to pick up Raffa and take him home. Afterward, I returned to school to finish my tasks and responsibilities for the day.
