The Diary Game:My Day: Food, Errand & Market [18/06/2026]
Greetings to everyone here on steemit and welcome to another diary session with @kingfavourite77. So today am going to be sharing on how my day/activites went today.
Today started like any other day. I woke up early, brushed my teeth, and was about to start my work when my phone rang. It was my friend. She said, "Come over, my mum just made fresh rice and stew. Come and eat before you start anything." I did not think twice. Food first, work later . I got dressed quickly, picked up my small bag, and went straight to my friends mum's shop.
His mum welcomed me with that warm smile she always has. She served me a hot plate of rice and stew . We sat down, talked small about life and school, and ate like we had not seen food in days . For me, good food is not just about filling the stomach. It gives energy, it gives joy, and it sets the mood for the whole day. That meal gave me strength to face whatever came next.

After we finished eating and I thanked her mum again, I remembered why I even came out in the first place. My mum had asked me to go to the market and buy a few things for her. I waved goodbye to her mum and my friend , and started my walk to the market like a soldier on a mission.

Let me take you to the market with me today . You know market is another school on its own. One minute, you’re pricing meat, the next minute, you’re learning life lessons from a man that has been selling since before you were born.
Today, I went to buy meat. I priced it low, the man looked at me and said, “My guy, even if you don’t buy, don’t spoil my market.” 🤦♀️😂 The way she said it, I laughed so hard and ended up buying more than expected . That day I learned something: sometimes in life, value yourself enough to stand firm.
Market will teach you patience, negotiation, and wisdom. It shows that in life, not every ‘no’ is the end ,sometimes you just need to adjust, smile, and try again.

I bought everything my mum asked for. I priced things small, laughed with the sellers, and learned small lessons too. Market people are funny but wise. Some will shout, some will beg, and some will just look at you and you will change your price . When I got home, I gave my mum the items and she smiled and said, "Thank you my son.
Thanks for sharing my day and activities with me @kingfavourite77
