The Diary Game: A Rainy Sunday Of Staying At Home And Cooking (14/6/2026)
Hello Steemit Family.. Happy Sunday to everyone. I haven't been able to post for a while now due to my health but I'm fully back now.
It has been showering since last night and it continued this morning. I couldn't make it to church because the roads are so bad and it's always flooded when it rains like this. I started my day with prayers and then the the usual morning chores. After that I had to loose my hair.
It took me a while to finish loosing it, because no one was around, my neighbors were all inside. After loosing it, I had to step out to buy few things to cook the beans I have. I combed and packed the hair, wore my sweater and got ready to go to the market to get some food items.
By this time the rain had reduced, but it was still drizzling, I had to enter inside it to get to the market. When I got to the market, everywhere was messy, but I had no option than to adjust with it.
One thing about market women is, no matter how the weather is, they must surely come to market 😆, they're so money minded. I bought the few things I needed and went back home.
I dived into the kitchen to prepare the food. I sorted out the beans, set my pot up on fire and proceeded with the cooking.I firstly parboiled my beans, washed it and put in a clean water for the main cooking. After a while, I was able to finish the cooking and dished some for my self.
After eating and resting, I had to resume with marking of test for my learners, we had tests through out last week and I carried some home.
While marking them I was chewing my combination of corn and groundnut. Very sweet combination 😁, after that I signed up for the days work and went back to sleep. Thanks for stopping by 🌹.
