The Diary Game: (18/06/2026) _ A Blog On How I Went Late To Class, Ate My Native Meal, And Braided My Hair Too

Good day guys, trust y'all are doing good. I still remain chiamaka okoronta but bears @chiamakag as my Steemit username on this wonderful platform. I've been sick for a while now that I had to visit the clinic often and often making me not to make any post for some time now. Having woken up early today because I had just one class to attend which made me so happy considering the fact that I usually have like 3 to 5 lectures a day and today I'm having just one class, I was so glad. And the class was a very early class so my preparation for the class also began early. I couldn't meet up to wash my dishes, because I was already running late, so I started with taking my bathe followed by dressing up, arranging my room and leaving for the class. On my way to the class I forgot my note and having gone halfway already and I was really really running late, I didn't go back to get my note, I went to class anyways. I reached the class venue and the class has already started luckily they haven't gone far so I joined the class. The lecturer taught us for a while, some of my course mates asked questions which he also answered and he also asked us questions in turn too. So finally the class was over, I wrote my name on the attendance and I immediately went back to the hostel because I was feeling so hungry considering the fact I didn't get to eat before leaving the hostel.

On my back to the hostel, I noticed a food seller that usually comes to our hostel to sell our native meal and I was so excited because this city am schooling is not my city and I rarely see my native food here to eat. So immediately I told the woman to give me some minutes to get my plate from my room and she actually waited for me. So having collected my plate I went back to her outside and bought the meal. This meal is called "Abacha" in my native language, which my mom made for me when I went back home in my previous posts. So I went back inside my room and started eating my meal immediately and it was really nice that I had to go outside to get more only to find out that the woman had already left the hostel.

I was kind of sad but just had to compose myself and also promised myself that whenever I see her again in the hostel, I'll definitely buy the meal again. So I decided to complete my half note because I left the class early and I didn't go to the class with my note because I forgot it at the hostel. So my course mate who is also my friend, snapped the note and sent for me on my phone and I copied the note. After that I realised I needed to braid my hair today, so I immediately started taking off the old braid on my head and after I was done, I checked from my window and saw that the hair stylist was very free and I rushed out to make my hair before another customer comes. I reached her shop, we agreed on the price and she immediately started braiding my hair. On the process of braiding my hair she told me that I was very lucky for coming now because she wanted to braid another person's hair but I came before the person so she started mine first. So I was happy I came before the person.

The hair was just a simple hair because I didn't add any attachments, it was just plainly and only my natural hair and the hairdresser was a very fast one. After some minutes we were done with the hair and honestly I loved my hair. My hair was simple and fine, I paid her our agreed price and went back to my room. At this point I was feeling so sleepy already, so I immediately lay down on my bed and slept off, woke up some minutes later because I was so pressed and had to visit the bathroom, which after that I couldn't sleep anymore and I ventured into watching movis.
