A Cup of Ice Americano Before Heading Home | My Last Coffee Stop in Medan

A few days ago, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, it was finally time for my family and me to leave Medan after spending a wonderful school holiday together. Before starting the journey back to Lhokseumawe, I wanted to enjoy one last cup of coffee in the city.

My choice was Sekawan Kuphie, a coffee shop with a spacious and comfortable atmosphere. It was still early in the morning, around 8:00 AM, so the cafe was quiet and relaxing. The fresh morning air and peaceful environment made it the perfect place to sit for a while before hitting the road.

When I arrived, the cafe was still very quiet because it was only around 8:00 AM. There were only a few customers enjoying their morning coffee, while most of the tables and chairs were still empty. The peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect place to relax before beginning my long journey back to Lhokseumawe.

I ordered a cup of Ice Americano, my favorite coffee whenever I travel. I love its clean and bold coffee flavor without any sweetness. It helps me stay fresh and focused, especially before a long drive.

The receipt

According to my receipt, the Ice Americano cost IDR 20,000, plus IDR 2,000 for the takeaway cup, making the total IDR 22,000. In my opinion, the price is very reasonable considering the quality of the coffee and the pleasant atmosphere.

From what I know, Sekawan Kuphie usually becomes much busier after midday and remains crowded until late at night. Many people come here not only for coffee but also to spend time with friends and family.

Since it was still early in the morning, the food counter had not started operating yet, so only coffee and beverages were available. That was perfectly fine for me because all I wanted was a refreshing cup of Ice Americano before leaving to lhokseumawe.

Although I only stayed for a short time, it was a memorable stop before returning home. Sometimes, a simple cup of coffee becomes part of a beautiful travel memory. For me, this Ice Americano marked the end of another enjoyable family trip in Medan.
