This really got me thinking. I'm not into dating myself—still young, still figuring life out—but I've watched my parents and learned from my upbringing. And from what I've seen, love isn't supposed to be a battlefield. It's something deeper.
Real love, to me, is sacrifice. It's being there for someone not because you want something in return, but because it comes from within. Sometimes that love might even feel harsh—like when my parents correct me or push me toward the right path. At the moment it stings, but years later I look back and realize: that was love. Steering me, shaping me, even when I didn't understand.
You said love shouldn't make you lose yourself. I agree. But maybe real love helps you find yourself—slowly, over years, through sacrifices and small moments you only recognize in hindsight.
Happy Valentine's Day 💙
