Not writing for money always been an option.
I doubt Steemit is interested. lt doesn't show anywhere. Good writers are still unnoticed and disliked. Not a single sign (word) they are read.
The main problem is no one reads or should I say most users can hardly read?
Next to that, it's impossible to find your own writing back. A back up elsewhere is always needed. The hashtags are useless. No way I can find back what I wrote during those first years,not even 3 months ago, and if I can't no one can, meaning all content is basically lost.
This all next to the fact readers are not even 1% and... I am one of them, and... I love to read my own stories. 😁
